More Salmonella Than You Can Handle

Important Update

I’m in my room at the hostel watching random music videos. One of them being The Backstreet Boys. My roommates are packing because we’re spending the weekend at a beach about 3 hours from here. We’re all ready for a break and change of scenery.

To my fellow Minnesotans, I’ll be enjoying 85 degrees for the next three days. Love ya.

Proof of whitewater rafting. The weather and river were perfect.

I leave for Costa Rica on Sunday. Let me know if you’d like a postcard.

Merry Christmas, tumblr! My kids wish you and yours peace and joy.

I’m Old

I met up with high school friends at 2pm today and just got home at 6:30pm. There were 12 adults and 11 children. I didn’t interact with any of the little people and none of them were my responsibility.

Yet, I feel like I ran a marathon. Or imagine what it must feel like in the aftermath of such an event.

I’m old.

I’ve become that person who posts the same thing across all her social media. But, I know you miscreants will appreciate my favorite Christmas gift. From my mother no less.

This perfectly captures the world today.

Sigh.

Confession

The accumulated hours of watching Judge Judy and The People’s Court have provided me with enough legal knowledge to get myself into a lot of trouble.

Why did you do all this for me?’ he asked. ‘I don’t deserve it. I’ve never done anything for you.’ ‘You have been my friend,’ replied Charlotte. ‘That in itself is a tremendous thing.’

2019 will be a year of travel.
The plan is:
January = Costa Rica
July/August = Greece, Croatia, and Italy
December = Mexico

I’m fasting so I can more fully appreciate my lunch tomorrow at The Cheesecake Factory.

Priorities.

Tension

I’m sitting at the dining room table at my brother’s house and survived a tense and awkward dinner. Said brother was in a crabby mood and took it out on everyone, including his 14-year-old and 4-year-old. The 12-year-old dodged his wrath.

Not sure what his problem is, but I hope he gets over it soon. He owes his children an apology.

I’m staying for a little while to help the older kids with homework. I can’t wait to leave.
